Ship Fatel Razack, 30 May 1845, birthplace of Indian Arrival Day, now a national public holiday.

Trinidad received 143,939 Indian indentured labourers between 1845 and 1916. The Fatel Razack brought the first workers in 1845. Indo-Trinidadian culture deeply influences the island's cuisine, music, and politics today.
